Role of Committee Members (as Committee Members):

To represent the DBN and the Committee, especially through attendance at and participation in DBN events
To act as a conduit between Derwentside Businesses and the DBN
To act at all times in the best interests of businesses, DBN and Derwentside
To represent the interests of Derwentside Businesses
To ensure that the voice of Derwentside businesses is heard by the DBN Committee
To collaborate with other Committee members and Network Members in facilitating and driving forward the business agenda and the vision of businesses within Derwentside
To engage with other Committee members, through the Committee meetings, bringing experience, expertise and vision to the functioning of the Committee

To act as the first point of contact and reference for the thematic group
To collate and forward issues and information raised in the thematic group to the DBN Committee, as appropriate
To bring together, as and when appropriate and/or needed, DBN members who need to network under the thematic group’s heading
To host events, under the thematic group’s heading, for all DBN Members, as and when appropriate
