About Derwentside Business Network
Helping to Link Businesses Together!
Derwentside Business Network has been formed to continue and develop the work
previously undertaken by Derwentside Industrial Group (DIG).
Formed in 1980 DIG served businesses, predominantly manufacturing, in the
Derwentside District of County Durham through the provision of support, advice,
learning opportunities and a networking forum.
Covering the area including Consett, Stanley, Lanchester, Annfield Plain,
Rowlands Gill and Tow Law, Derwentside Business Network's aim is to expand
the appeal of the group to encompass the wide and varied nature of businesses
starting up and moving to the community as well as those already established
and looking for networking, support, advice and development prospects.
Being a member of Derwentside Business Network is all about being part of the
local community. Members are given the opportunity to network with local
businesses from around the area at bi monthly member meetings, affording them
chance to share views and interests, keep up to date on local and national news
and discuss business matters pertinent to their business success.
